Braves Drop Marlins, 9-6
|
Atlanta first baseman Butch Kaiser had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Miami Marlins, 9-6. The win puts Atlanta at 14-16.
With Atlanta leading 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Kaiser hit a 2-run single off Miami hurler Jose Ramirez. It was the 39th hit of the season for Kaiser and put his team ahead, 7-4.
"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Kaiser told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
