5 Hits for Scrappers Padilla
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Juan Padilla is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Idaho Falls Chukars at Melaleuca Field today. The monster effort from the 26-year-old second baseman helped the Mahoning Valley Scrappers take the win, 34-6.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Chukars manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Juan Padilla singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.

During the current season Padilla is batting at a .372 clip with 2 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 26 times.
