|
The Washington Nationals grabbed a win, 5-3, over the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park. Washington first baseman Yasahiko Teshima was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Washington now has a record of 22-20 with the win.
Masashi Yukizawa, the 27-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Yukizawa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Washington up, 1-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Washington manager Mike Shore.
