Braves Lose to Phillies in Walk Off
|
Citizens Bank Park was the site of quite a ballgame.
In a tight affair between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves, pitcher Lennart Hjelm was in the zone. The Philadelphia left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. Philadelphia reliever Luis Concepcion picked up the win, while Charles Hewson took the loss for Atlanta.
Mitch Boyd was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Phillies second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Andres Wray II.
Philadelphia currently is in third place in the National League East Division at 22-24.
