Dodgers Fall Short, 7-6, at Washington
|
The Washington Nationals overcame a good performance by Los Angeles shortstop Clay Buchanan to knock off Los Angeles, 7-6, at Nationals Park. Buchanan was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. David Krampe earned the save for Washington, his 1st of the year. The second-place Nationals have won 4 straight games.
Andrew Wray II, who finished 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 48 in 2034, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Wray II, "but we got it done."
