Athletics Lose Again, 5-3, to White Sox
|
The 2044 season is getting uglier for Oakland.
The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at U.S. Cellular Field, taking down the Oakland Athletics, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ricky Salas was a big reason why. Salas, now 6-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The save went to Zach Ault, number 11 for him.
In the bottom of the third, Chicago first baseman Jack Christie had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Christie stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, Chicago. For the game, he went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Chicago manager Larry Stefanski. "It's usually not just one thing."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the White Sox.
