Harvey Rips Batavia for 5 Hits
|
Gabe Harvey was at the head of a Milwaukee (NYP) hit parade today at Dwyer Stadium. The right fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Brewers to a 13-2 victory over the Batavia Muckdogs.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Harvey told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Muckdogs skipper Connor Kaden said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Gabe Harvey hit an RBI double in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Harvey is currently batting .425 with 1 home run and 8 RBIs.
