Giants Top New York, 2-1
|
San Francisco Giants starter Nicolas Coppola II was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 2-1. With the win, San Francisco raised its record to 37-32.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when San Francisco center fielder Nick Rigden, facing Xu-gang Zhou, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Giants the 2-1 win.
"This place was electric at the end," Coppola II said.
