Dodgers Solve Giants, 6-2
|
Los Angeles Dodgers starter Alastair Tippett turned in an exceptional performance against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park, resulting in a Los Angeles win, 6-2. Tippett got the win, improving to 10-5. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. Tippett allowed 2 runs. Los Angeles is 41-48 and San Francisco, with the loss, 49-39.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Lirak Bazhunaishvili to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
