Braves Prevail, 4-3, Over St. Louis
|
Atlanta Braves starter Robby Benchio was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3. Atlanta reliever Marcos Tejeda picked up the win to move to 3-6. Nick Martin suffered the loss. Atlanta, with the win, sits at 30-65.
Making an impact for the home team was Butch Kaiser. In the bottom of the seventh, the 26-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, Braves.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Kaiser. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
