Angels Deal Expos 9-5 Defeat
|
California right fielder Josh Cook made his presence felt in the 9-5 Angels triumph over the Montreal Expos. Cook was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. The Angels go to 39-55, putting them 4th in the American League West Division.
The Angels got a big hit from third baseman Dietmar Warmisch. In the top of the seventh, Warmisch pounded a grand slam home run to center. His 15th home run of the season put the Angels ahead, 9-1.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cook said after the game.
