Van Gilder on Fire: 5-for-6 for London
It was high-fives all around for Brock Van Gilder at Niagara Falls Casino & Resort today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Niagara Falls Phantoms. Van Gilder smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 7-6 win.

"Brock was hitting everything," said Majors manager Andrew Albers. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Phantoms manager Richard Hauser told BNN beat writers that Van Gilder "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Van Gilder oversleeps next time."

Brock Van Gilder hit a solo-shot off Khayyat bin Faruq in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jimmy Williams in the 10th.

This season Van Gilder has hit at a .358 clip with 27 RBIs, 4 home runs and 36 runs scored.
