Angels Win at San Francisco, 7-6
|
Fans watched the California Angels and the San Francisco Giants fight to the finish.
The California Angels topped the San Francisco Giants, 7-6, in American League action at AT&T Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of California designated hitter Aldo Questi. Angel Marquez got the win, improving to 7-9. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5.
California relied on the hitting of Gael Jones to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Angels on top, 7-3. For the game, Jones had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We got the victory," said Jones. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
