Rangers Win, 13-1, at Toronto
|
The Texas Rangers beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 13-1. Texas pitcher and Arden-Arcade, California, native Javy Falcon led the way. Falcon, now 14-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Texas goes to 73-36. The win puts them 8½ games up in their division.
Cody Schumacher, the 29-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Schumacher contributed a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put Texas up, 3-0.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Falcon said.
