Kasahara, Cubs Too Much for Braves
|
Yasuhide Kasahara was a vital contributor to the 8-1 Chicago victory over Atlanta. The Cubs shortstop went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Chicago starter Anass Rhammar was credited with the win after throwing 112 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 14-8. The win puts Chicago at 78-36 this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Will Leslie? The Chicago third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cubs on top, 3-0. For the game, Leslie had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We had a nice day," said Chicago skipper Mergatroid Skittle.
