Red Sox Win at Cleveland, 5-4
|
Nick Esteves made an impact in the 5-4 Boston win over Cleveland. Esteves was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Edgar Saldivar earned his 1st save in 3 chances. The triumph puts Boston at 60-60 for the season.
In the top of the sixth, Boston shortstop Brandon Perris put his team on top. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 10th double of the year. Cleveland pitcher Dennis Beals served it up. Just like that, the Red Sox were ahead, 5-4.
Esteves told a Boston Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
