Reds Roll to 9-1 Win Over Mets
Cincinnati beat New York on the strength of starter Eddie Grape's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 9-1. Grape picked up the win for Cincinnati, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9. The triumph puts Cincinnati at 79-52 for the season.

With two out in the bottom of the third, Willie Cardamone barreled up a knuckleball from Enkei Wakamatsu. The result was a solo home run, putting the Reds in front, 3-1.

"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Alan Kahaly.
