7 Straight Wins for Blue Jays
Toronto second baseman Dylan Novakowski played a vital role in his team's 9-6 triumph over Philadelphia. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for Toronto. Douglas ten Pas earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Toronto now has a record of 69-63 with the win.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Kirk Arp to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Novakowski said.
