Mariners Top Astros in Extras, 4-3
|
Jonathan Rangel was a major factor in the 4-3 Seattle win over Houston. The Mariners right fielder hit 2 home runs. The second-place Mariners have won 4 consecutive games.
Rangel dealt the big blow in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he launched a solo home run off Houston pitcher Mat Pear to win it for the Mariners.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Seattle manager Aaron Schiff. "It's usually not just one thing."
