Larikov Leads Blue Jays to 13-6 Win Over Red Sox
The Toronto Blue Jays topped the Boston Red Sox by the score of 13-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Zory Larikov. Larikov went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Blue Jays on the day. The winner in relief was Douglas ten Pas. He is now 4-2. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. Toronto now has a record of 72-65 with the win.

Toronto needed the clutch hitting of Shigem Kubo to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 8-6. For the game, Kubo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We maximized our offense today," said Toronto skipper Nersha Bainco. "That makes everyone's life easier."
