Blue Jays Earn 3-2 Win Versus Yankees
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Matt Altieri was on his game, helping his team beat the New York Yankees, 3-2. Toronto reliever J.J. Thompson was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Juan Hurtado took the loss. With the win, Toronto upped its record to 73-67.
Toronto won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Juan Hurtado on the mound for New York, right fielder Shigem Kubo hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blue Jays fans to their feet.
"Every loss stings," said New York manager Carl Arnold. "This one is no exception."
