Royals, Prado Pin Bad Loss on Indians
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Cleveland Indians.
The Kansas City Royals topped the Cleveland Indians, 11-2, with center fielder Tony Prado playing a big role. Prado belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Royals in the win. Matt Evans, the winning pitcher, is now 10-4. He went 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 2.
Prado had a key at-bat for Kansas City early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and gave Kansas City an early 2-0 lead.
"Every good pitch to hit is a strike," said Prado. "But not every strike is a good pitch to hit."
The Indians, now 44-97, have lost 8 straight.
