Dominant Performance by Altieri in Toronto Win
|
Matt Altieri was locked and loaded, helping the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox, 4-0. J.J. Thompson notched his 22nd save in 27 chances. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Blue Jays.
It was a dominating performance from Altieri, who is one of the sport's most highly regarded players, both in the clubhouse and on the field. Altieri, who is a two-time All-Star, raised his record to 7-4 with 128 strikeouts.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Chicago manager Larry Stefanski.
