Diamondbacks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Giants
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants, 4-2. Arizona pitcher and Ennis, Ireland, native Murphy Quirk led the way. The winner was Arizona reliever André Gaillard, now 4-3. The loser was Micah Teller. The win elevated the Diamondbacks to 94-61.
Perry Tuckfard, the six-time Great Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Tuckfard contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the tenth inning to put Arizona up, 3-2.
Tuckfard called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
