Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Toronto Blue Jays were eager to watch Tony Rios square off against Jonathan Jackson of the visiting Montreal Expos. In the end, the Blue Jays won the game, 3-0, with Tony Rios leading the way.
Rios delivered a quality start for Toronto. The 6' 5" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.
"Enjoyed this one," Rios told the Toronto Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
