Expos Win at Atlanta, 10-3
|
A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Mike Salmon, who finished 4th in the AL in hits with 206 in 2037, led the Montreal Expos to a win over the Atlanta Braves, 10-3. Montreal pitcher Jonathan Jackson got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bryce Schimmoeller got the loss. The loss has the Braves at 1-5.
It could have been a different outcome for Montreal, had it not been for Robby Juarez, the 27-year old shortstop . Juarez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Montreal up, 4-1.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Salmon after the game.
