Indians Drop White Sox, 10-6
|
The Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox put on quite a show.
The Cleveland Indians defeated the Chicago White Sox, 10-6. Doing his part was second baseman Antonio Figueroa, who went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win was credited to Hector Guerrero in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Stanislav Mamatsev took the loss.
Cleveland used the clutch hitting of Mike Cervino to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Indians the lead, 7-6. For the game, Cervino had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Cervino.
With the win, Cleveland climbs to 1-6.
