Expos Get Past New York for 2-1 Win
|
Montreal pitcher Danny Lawson did his part in helping his team beat the New York Yankees, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Montreal pitcher Alan Taylor got the win. He's now 1-0. Juan Hurtado was tagged with the loss. Montreal goes to 6-9.
Bran Stark was the walk-off hero for Montreal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Expos right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I had everything working," said Lawson.
