Walters Spins 11-0 Shutout

The Syracuse Chiefs rolled to an easy 11-0 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at Zephyr Field today. Leading the way to victory was starter Brian Walters, who shackled the New Orleans Zephyrs and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Walters said in his postgame press conference.
He has made no relief appearances this year with 0 saves. Walters has achieved a 5-8 record while holding opposing hitters to a .239 batting average and posting a 4.36 ERA. He has tossed 86.2 innings, given up 80 base hits, fanned 80 and issued 29 walks.
