Medrano Shuts Out Cubs, 2-0
Friday, August 12th , 2044
Mario Medrano handcuffed the Iowa Cubs at Victory Field today, coming away with a 4-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Indianapolis Indians right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Medrano had little trouble with the Cubs and led the Indians to victory, 2-0. He recorded 1 strikeout and no walks in an impressive performance.
In 7 starts this year Medrano has recorded a 5-2 record and a 4.20 ERA.
