Best Player Named by American League
Tuesday, November 15th , 2044
At the age of 22, Michael Byrd of the Buffalo Bisons could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2044 was good enough to win the second baseman the American League Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .303 batting average this year, as well as a .413 on-base percentage. He played 121 games and racked up 139 hits, 20 doubles, 2 triples, 11 home runs, 71 RBIs and 90 runs scored.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ryan Kinkead of the Buffalo Bisons finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Marty King of the Pawtucket Red Sox finished third with 2 first place votes.
