Monday, May 2nd , 2044
Pete Hansel's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Northwest Arkansas left fielder smacked 3 hits against the Akron RubberDucks in today's game at Canal Park, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Naturals drop the game, 9-6.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Pete Hansel tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
Hansel is currently batting .387 with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 111 at-bats.
