Player of the Week: Tulsa's McNair Monday, May 23rd , 2044 24-year-old David McNair made a few Tulsa headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and National League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .533 average. McNair collected 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 9 runs. In 39 games this season McNair is batting .246 with 33 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 22 runs and driven in 27. |
