Star of the Week Picked in NL Monday, August 15th , 2044 22-year-old Joe LaDue made a few Biloxi headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and National League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .476 average. LaDue collected 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 8 runs. So far this season LaDue has 5 home runs and a .265 batting average. |
