Hit Parade: McNeill Pops 5 Hits
Monday, August 15th , 2044
It was a sensational day at the plate for Harrisburg Senators center fielder John McNeill, but a tough one for the team, as the Senators dropped the contest 14-5 to the Colorado (EL) Rockies.
Even with the loss, McNeill was pure misery for the Colorado (EL) pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said McNeill, who is the 22-year old center fielder .
"McNeill really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Rockies manager Jeff Hoffman told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
John McNeill singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
McNeill is batting .331 with 2 home runs and 27 RBIs this season.
