Hit Streak Now at 20 for LaDue Tuesday, August 23rd , 2044 The hot bat of Shuckers third baseman Joe LaDue continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 8-1 loss to the Giants at San Jose Municipal Stadium. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Joe LaDue struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Presently LaDue is batting .273 and has collected 5 home runs, 34 RBIs, .386 OBP and scored 32 runs. |
