22-Game Streak Ends, LaDue Hitless
Sunday, August 28th , 2044
The 22-game hitting streak is over.
Biloxi Shuckers third baseman Joe LaDue failed to get a hit today against the Mississippi Braves and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 22-year-old went 0-for-2 in his club's 5-4 victory over the Braves at Trustmark Park.
"I think I only made it to 22 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."
This year LaDue is batting .269 with 56 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 35 times and has batted in 35 runs.
