Shults Takes Home AL Top Batter Award Thursday, September 1st , 2044 John Shults made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the American League this past month. The Midland RockHounds right fielder shined through the month of August and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 23-year-old hit .310 with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. So far this season Shults has gotten 77 hits in 249 at-bats for a .309 batting average with 17 home runs. His stats include 65 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 78 games. |
