NL Awards Player of the Week Monday, September 5th , 2044 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the National League, but last week Marc Durgin of the Columbia Fireflies reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Durgin rocked opposing pitching for a .524 average (11-for-21), 3 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Durgin has 8 home runs and a .279 batting average. |
