JetHawks Pitching Ravaged by Brown
Friday, December 19th , 2042
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Micah Brown, it came around today.
The 20-year-old catcher scattered hits all over The Hanger to pace the Winston-Salem Dash to a 25-2 victory over the Lancaster JetHawks.
Lancaster skipper Freddie Eyrich told reporters in the press room that "Brown deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Brown hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Micah Brown singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th, flied out in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Brian Lynch in the 9th.
On the year Brown is hitting .365 with 27 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs, .442 OBP and has scored 18 runs.
