Big Day with Bat: Spiller 5-for-6 Sunday, January 11th , 2043 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Brevard County's 20-3 win over Clearwater today, center fielder Nick Spiller was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Space Coast Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Spiller said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Nick Spiller hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. So far this season Spiller has no home runs and a .233 batting average. |
