No Comeback This Season for Shoji
Thursday, December 17th , 2043
Shigezo Shoji had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Visalia medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Visalia reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year.
So far this season, Shoji has a 0-0 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 6 relief appearances, logged 12 innings and fanned 10 batters while fashioning a 1.50 ERA and allowing the opposition a .143 batting average.
