Croston Goes Long 3 Times
Thursday, December 17th , 2043
Peter Croston brutalized the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 18-3 victory at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans third baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-3 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"Too much Peter Croston today," Quakes manager Devon Travis said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Peter Croston walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off George Credle in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Nate Allen in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off J.P. Blair in the 8th.
This year Croston is hitting .203 with 15 hits, 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 13 runs.
