Historic Day: Valles Jolts 4 HR
Wednesday, January 13th , 2044
In a game for the ages, Tampa Yankees left fielder Andres Valles launched 4 home runs at George M. Steinbrenner Field against the Potomac Nationals.
Time after time, Valles found his stroke against the shell-shocked Nationals pitching staff, finishing with 7 RBIs and scoring 4 times as the Yankees took the 11-4 victory.
"They pitch 'em and I hit 'em. I just did it a little better than them today," Valles said to reporters after his historic game. "I won big today, but they might get me out 4 times tomorrow."
Andres Valles struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Todd Carbaugh in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alpha Miller in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Estrada in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Fernando Fierros in the 8th.
This year Valles has hit at a .323 pace and produced 50 RBIs, 24 home runs and scored 47 runs.
