Injured Urenda to Quit Game
Saturday, January 30th , 2044
"The writing was on the wall," said Nick Urenda, the Potomac closer, as he announced his retirement from baseball. The 21-year-old Urenda had been sidelined indefinitely with a torn rotator cuff. From the start, the prognosis was not good. Urenda had a good idea he'd have to call it quits. "As much as I love this sport, I knew I'd have to give it up sooner or later."
On the year Urenda has recorded 7 saves. In 15 relief appearances, he has 15 strikeouts in 15.2 innings with a 5.17 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 1-2.
