Nelson Batters Greensboro for 5 Hits Friday, May 6th , 2044 Binghamton Mets center fielder Chris Nelson went ballistic today with the bat. He hammered the Greensboro Grasshoppers for 5 hits and drove Binghamton to a 17-6 win over Greensboro at NewBridge Bank Park. Chris Nelson singled in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Foster in the 9th. This season Nelson has hit at a .316 clip and produced 17 runs batted in, 7 home runs and 19 runs. |
