Sousa and Riley Suspended 3 Games
Monday, August 8th , 2044
When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Fort Wayne's James Sousa and Augusta's Ron Riley were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office.

They both were suspended for 3 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Sousa charged Riley.

Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation.

Presently Sousa is batting .240 and has collected 25 home runs, 74 RBIs, .370 OBP and scored 60 runs.

To date in the season, Riley is 3-3 with 62 relief appearances and 4 saves. He has held opposing batters to a .206 average, pitched 72 innings, struck out 86 and walked 16 while recording a 4.00 ERA.
