Snappers Hurler Bowling Tosses Masterpiece Thursday, August 11th , 2044 It wasn't easy but Mike Bowling made it look that way. Bowling silenced the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 6-0, in a Beloit Snappers triumph at Harry C. Pohlman Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Bowling said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." This season Bowling has made 5 relief appearances with no saves. In 111.1 innings he has fanned 103 hitters and recorded 8 wins and 4 losses with a 2.59 ERA. |
