West Virginia-Lakewood Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, September 10th , 2044 After an intense confrontation, both the Power Tom Primmer and the BlueClaws Chris Perteet were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent West Virginia-Lakewood game. Tom Primmer will miss 5 games, while Chris Perteet was suspended for 10 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tom Primmer commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Primmer has hit at a .277 clip with 119 RBIs, 29 home runs and 75 runs scored. On the year Perteet has worked 121.2 innings with 96 strikeouts en route to a 2-11 record and 6.21 ERA. |
