Dalton Stretches Hit String to 20
Wednesday, September 14th , 2044
The Atlanta (MID) Braves may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 3-2 to the Kane County Cougars, but Corey Dalton continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Dalton is playing great and is on fire right now," Braves manager Jordan Zimmermann said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Dalton was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Corey Dalton flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
Dalton has a .297 average and a .381 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 140 hits, 21 home runs and driven in 91 runs.
